We made a quick trip from Las Vegas to Zion National Park over the long Labor Day Weekend. It is only 158 miles, a very doable daytrip. We went specifically to hike the Narrows at Zion. The Narrows is a canyon hike that runs through the North Fork of the Virgin River in Zion National Park. When I say that the route runs through the Virgin River, I mean that the hiking trail is the river. Sometimes you hike on the riverbank but most times you are walking through the river in depths ranging from your ankles to your neck! It was great fun and if you ever get a chance, you should definitely try it!
